Fall is coming and that means summer to fall transition wardrobe. Up here in Canada, September can be a challenging time of year clothing wise. The morning are crisp and chilly, but by midday the temperature has climbed and all of a sudden you’re sweating buckets!
This is one of my favourite outfits for the transition to fall. The chambray like colour of the blouse feels summery, but the long billowy sleeves bring a hint of fall. The Geox shoes are bulky and add a bit of colder weather feel, but the ruffle designs adds some girlish whimsy. Lastly, the Lululemon pants are my greatest investment.
- Black pants – Lululemon On The Fly Pant
I bought these pants back in the winter. At the time, they were WAY too thin to withstand Canadian winters. But along came spring and HELLO. These pants are my go to clinic pant. They are lightweight and uber comfortable. I’ve worn these on 14 hours and no other dress pant compares. The comfort factor is everything you expect from a Lulu pant, but the construction and cut lets you easily transition these to the workplace. Yes they are on the pricey side, but I wear these pants at least once a week. Black pants will never go out of style, so they are a solid investment if you’re in the market for a new black pant.
2. Power Blue Blouse – Calvin Klein
Alright, so… no promises that you’ll be able to find this top for yourself. I snagged this at Winner’s (the Canadian Marshall’s) for a steal. I was drawn to it for both the colour and the ruffle sleeve. The sleeves felt very modern and on trend, while the fabric and colour felt more classic. The material itself is lightweight, making it the perfect Summer to fall transition blouse.
3. Comfy and Cute Black Shoe – Geox
Geox is known as the shoe the breaths. I bought these about a month ago and I AM IN LOVE. I love me a good slip on shoe and the ruffle feature is ADORABLE. Unfortunately, these shoes don’t seem to be in stock anymore, but these two Kaula #1 and Kaula #2 are similar in construction. You might also like Nhenbus and the Theragon styles.
Basically, my summer to fall transition wardrobe will use these black Lulu pants as my base, most often will feature this cute shoe, and I’ll sub in different blouses to complete the look. As the days start to get a bit cooler, I’ll add in a scarf or a cardigan to help me stay warm
